Bioscience High School celebrates Evening of the Arts

Phoenix, AZ — Phoenix Union Bioscience High School announces its celebration evening of the arts cardof the 6th annual Evening of the Arts. The event takes places on Friday, April 12, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. The evening will showcase artwork from its creative students, along with spoken word and performance art.  Everyone is welcome to attend. Food trucks, including Paradise Melts, Angies, Buzznbeez, Torched Goodness, Lulu’s Italian Water Ice, and DGP Gourmet Fry Bread, will have food available for purchase.

The event has grown annually, making it a much-anticipated and beloved evening by students, staff, parents, and the surrounding community. Evening of the Arts, according to student David Hernandez, is “interesting because you get to see other sides of students.” Bioscience High School’s mission embraces literacies across disciplines, embracing and encouraging the creative development of students.

An event like Evening of the Arts provides an outlet for students to sing, dance, paint, or otherwise express themselves in personal and authentic ways. Stephanie Grijalva, who facilitates the art program at Bioscience, says “Evening of the Arts allows to students to zero in on what interests students most, giving them the freedom to explore their personal creativity.”
